branchly at the North Sea Tourism Day 2026 in Leer

On March 30, the branchly team was a guest at the NordseeTourismusTag 2026 at the SparkassenForum in Leer — at the invitation of our partner, the Tourismus-Agentur Nordsee GmbH (TANO).
The motto of the event: "Destination in Transition: Between Wish and Reality." It could hardly have been more fitting for the conversations we had on that day.

What it was about

AI sounds cold and complicated to many people at first. This is why we were on-site: to show that the opposite is true — that technology can feel human.
In conversations with destination managers from the entire North Sea region, three topics frequently emerged:
Language as a Welcoming Gesture. International guests want to arrive in their language — not just find an English FAQ on the third subpage. AI makes this possible today: automatically, reliably, and in over 100 languages.
Data that helps instead of confuses. Weather data, tides, availability, events — the information is there, but often difficult for travelers to find. AI can aggregate these sources and provide clear answers right when someone is searching for them.
Access for All. Accessibility is no longer an option but a requirement — and, above all, the right way to go. Those who remove digital barriers reach more people.

Hospitality First

The common thread of all conversations: technology must not replace the hospitality of the North Sea coast. It should make it easier to access — lead guests more quickly to the right answers and relieve teams on-site so they can focus on what matters: personal contact.
